A new body of work by Mary Wallace, exhibited at Clayton Whites Hotel, takes its inspiration from the Japanese concept of ‘Sozo’, to create or to imagine. Wallace’s abstract paintings are both miniature and large scale. She uses the motif of a celestial orb, with vibrant colours, gold leaf and beeswax.
