Parallel stories of artistry and diversity are expressed through the work of Maria Simonds-Gooding and Frank Walter of Antigua in ‘Artistic Islands’ at the Coach House Gallery in Dublin Castle. For more than sixty years, Simonds-Gooding has engaged with and responded to the Irish landscape. She was also a formative influence on Micheál Ó Gaoithín, the Blaskets’ great visual artist and poet, whose work is also included in the exhibition.
