Artist Aleana Egan exhibits ‘A maritime child’ at Interface Inagh in Connemara as part of the Galway International Arts Festival. The artist responds to the atmosphere of pathos in the gallery’s site, which was formerly a salmon hatchery. Egan’s work refers to the processes of adaptation, repair and reuse. Her sculptural forms address the industrial materiality of Interface and the expansive natural landscape that encloses the site in the picturesque Lough Inagh Valley.
