‘Zero is an Even Number’ at the Molesworth Gallery marks the culmination of Cian McLoughlin’s year-long collaboration with the Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience. McLoughlin’s current work fuses traditional art materials and techniques with modern tools and technologies. He uses oil paint, pastels and canvas in combination with CO2 laser cutters, 3D printers and digital colour systems. For this exhibition, the artist immersed himself in research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, developmental psychology and neuroscience.
