Paintings by Inga Ryan in ‘Under Water’ at Ranelagh Arts take inspiration from Henri Matisse and show the dynamics of the human body while swimming. Love, fear, frailty, strength, hope and uncertainty permeate Ryan’s work, giving a psychological edge to a seemingly straightforward theme.
