Presented by the OPW in association with the British Council, a number of portraits of Irish cultural figures, completed over a sixteen-year period by Anglo-Belgian painter Anthony Palliser, will show at Farmleigh Gallery. In addition to depictions of Edna O’Brien, Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill and Sinead Cusack, a new portrait of President Michael D Higgins will be unveiled. Curated by Kieran Owens, the catalogue for ‘Face to Face’ contains essays by John Boorman, Lara Marlowe and Sophie Gorman.
