Intelligent Machinery’ an exhibition of work by Sofie Loscher, Jonathan Mayhew, and Niamh O’Doherty will show at The Cowshed Gallery, Farmleigh. This exhibition explores ideas that form artificial intelligence and how these factors have been used in seminal moments in our history. Loscher investigates natural phenomena that are illusionistic in nature and that appear in ephemeral form. Mayhew examines how culture is constantly reproducing itself, and re-contextualizes image, objects, and words. O’Doherty exhibits The Long Still (2013), recorded on Super 8 during several visits to a small village in the North-West of Ireland.
