‘Post-Binary’, an exhibition by Stephen Doyle at SO Fine Art, comprises a body of works that explores gender identity in contemporary society, challenging preconceptions of binary gender categories, suggesting that gender is more complicated than a simple choice of male or female. Doyle employs shape, colour, form and pattern against a range of geometric shapes and dark backgrounds. Stephen Doyle was a finalist in the 2018 Zurich Portrait Prize.
