An exhibition by Charles Tyrrell at the Taylor Galleries entitled ‘New Paintings’ features large-scale canvases in which the artist continues his exploration of grids. In this body of work the grid has been simplified and articulated differently; less stark, these paintings present as distorted grids that come about through the random placing of rectilinear shapes.
