With the winner to be announced on 28 November 2017, twenty-four artists have been shortlisted for this year’s Hennessy Portrait Prize at the National Gallery of Ireland. Selected from over 270 entries, the portraits encompass a wide range of media and materials, by artists living in Ireland and Irish artists abroad. Judges are James Hanley, Niamh MacNally, Patrick T Murphy and Yvonne Scott, and the exhibition is curated by Claire Crowley and Brendan Rooney.
