In ‘Echoes of the West’ at the Athlone Art Gallery, Rosaleen Heavin offers a response to the landscapes and atmosphere of the West coast of the island, using a mix of inks, acrylics and oils. Heavin’s experience of working for many years as a mentalhealth nurse subtly informs her practice.
