The Permanent Collection of the Limerick City Gallery of Art was founded in 1936 when a committee was formed to seek donations.  The collection features work by many of Ireland’s leading 20th-century painters. Works on exhibit include: Jack B Yeats, Sean Keating, Mary Swanzy, Grace Henry, Nano Reid and Fr Jack P Hanlon, as well as more recent works that include Mariele Neudecker, Tom Fitzgerald and Walter Verling.
