‘Meander’ is an exhibition of works by Des Kenny and Anthony Lyttle at the Graphic Studio Gallery. Both artists employ a meditative approach to art making, working without preparatory sketches and encouraging the final image to emerge without a pre-conceived idea of it. Kenny freely applies many layers of colours and shapes through screen-printing, interweaving his compositions in a playful manner. Lyttle uses scrapped, large-scale woodblocks to create compositions that evoke a sense of flow and wander. Their work prompts the viewer to embark on a journey, letting your eyes meander and follow the loops and curves of their making.
