In a contemporary take on the tradition of landscape painting, Leah Beggs’ exhibition of multi-layered works at Solomon Fine Art explores the landscape of memories, suggesting a sense of place, an atmosphere or a feeling. Beggs creates her sensory and textured works through contrasting thin washes of oils or thick impasto, manipulated with brushes, rags, fingertips and palette knives, until a composition is revealed.
