In his exhibition ‘Deep Waiting’ at the Kerlin Gallery, Phillip Allen moves from geometric semi-figurative landscapes, through abstraction, to sculptural and textured impasto paintings on board. Allen’s output has consistently shown his experimentation as a colourist and his interest in the materiality of paint.
