Paula Pohli moved from Dublin to the West of Ireland in 2011, a transition that initially would appear straightforward, yet as someone who has made the same transition, I know how very dramatic the experience of moving out of the city and into the rural west can be. As a fellow Mayo resident I also find compelling the world of nature and beauty that Paula has encountered here and beauty that Paula has encountered here and can see how it has become the central subject of her work.
