Brian Palm’s exhibition at the Duke Street Gallery features highly coloured, large-scale works that combine photo-collage with oil paint, offering a comic view of his home city. ‘Vernacular’, the show’s title, refers to the architectural fabric of some of Dublin’s less-grand neighbourhoods, while also referencing the unique Dublin slang, ‘The Ben Lang’.
