Artist Beatrice O’Connell’s series of layered paintings in her exhibition ‘Curtain Time…’ at the Taylor Galleries explores the theatre as a stage for both human absence and nature’s quiet return. Inspired by theatrical staging, particularly Samuel Beckett, the multi-disciplinary O’Connell combines photography, collage, image transfer and paint to create dreamlike interiors.
