St Werburgh’s Church

St Werburgh’s is a hidden treasure of the Georgian era in Dublin. Built between 1715 and 1719 by Thomas Burgh, the Surveyor General, the Roman Baroque façade, perhaps inspired by Volterra’s 16th-century Santa Chiara in Rome, is built in sandstone. It is located on a narrow street of the same name with Dublin Castle immediately east of the church.
