Painters have always travelled far and wide to seek new inspirations, subjects and perspectives. Artists who travel extensively often make work that takes the viewer on a voyage of discovery too. Fergus Fitzgerald is one of those artists.

Fitzgerald is originally from Dublin, but is now a part of the Carrick-On-Suir Camphill Community. He works in his studio at KCAT Arts Centre in Callan, Co Kilkenny, which provides a sanctuary for non-traditional artists to make work in a supported studio with input from leading tutors. Many of these artists have had their work exhibited in major galleries across Ireland, while some have had paintings added to the national collections.
