Brian King possesses an acute sense of space, observes Gerry Walker on the recent unveiling of his memorial in Merrion Square Park, Dublin

Dublin sculptor Brian King has designed a memorial which is sited in Merrion Square. It consists of a pyramid shape made of granite slabs resting on a steel structure interspersed with toughened glass (Fig 1). It stands 4.6 metres high resting on an 8-metre base.
