Great expectations

Two years ago, while discussing the class of 2010, this writer noted here that given the prevailing economic climate third-level Colleges tended to play to their strengths. Some placed the focus on new digital media while others made a virtue of retaining and refining older creative orthodoxies. To date little has changed within the creative arts education sphere. Limited budgetary allocations are diligently husbanded, duplication of resources is actively discouraged and expectations of enhanced creative endeavour are sustained if not heightened.
