Siún Hanrahan discusses Ric O’Reilly’s western perspectives currently on view at Man-Made Images gallery, Donegal
Ric O’Reilly’s exhibition ‘The West’ juxtaposes twenty photographs of the western sides of Britain, Ireland and the United States of America. Lancashire, on the north west coast of England, the west coast of Ireland and western USA are each places that O’Reilly has photographed a lot – he divides his time between the first two places and has made several trips to the latter. The photographs, to be shown at the Man Made Images gallery in Co Donegal, explore a similarity in ‘feel’ between these diverse locations
